Knitters Coffee Exchange

Yesterday I received my package from Gretchen, and what a package it is!
before we even open it, there was some wonderful art work on the top of the box!!

cutsie spring time paper:

check out that box!!!
omg

I dug around for the card first off, it's a handmade card by
Wildcat Card Company

then there was this felted bag with chocolates inside!!
and some soap pangea organics... it's smellls wonderful
Indian green tea with mint and rose petals!
I don't know if I'll use it... maybe I'll just smell it forever..lol

and the coffee!! holy smokers

and more goodies!!

snone mix, biscotti, candy and hazelnut syrup

and a awsome coffee cup that has "coffee" written in different lauguages
( I used it this morning)( along with some of the coffee she sent)

an adorable stitch marker:
made by knitwit momma

some cards and a notebook

and the yarn... holy moley
from cascade yarns.. chunky baby alpaca, it's not as bright an orange as in the pics...
a more softer color.

and some cotton yarns from cotton frappe

I'm going to have to search the web high and low to find the perfect pattern for these yarns...
I'm thinking mitts for the alpaca yarns, I might have to buy some and make norigian mitts... wouldn't that look awsome.. and they would be SO warm, which is what we need here!!
Gretchen, thank you so much!!
Everything is great!!

You are very welcome! My Sophie provided the artwork- she's 6.

The Wildcat Card Company is a group at our high school- they are special needs students that make cards to sell locally, and they are all quite cute.

Knitwit Mama is a local, stay at home mom starting a home-based business- my LYS will carry her works, and wanted a good home for the sample she gave them. They decided that Saskatchewan sounded like a great place!

Email me if you want another skein of the alpaca- the LYS had one more in the same dyelot, so if three skeins would serve better for your project, I'd be more than happy to send it your way!

I hope the coffee suits your tastes- I've had several of their varieties, and like them all.

The felted bag was adapted from a pattern in "One Skein Wonders"- I just added 10 more cast on stitches, and 10 more rows of knitting. It was fun and fast, and I'm making one for each of my girls.

Glad you liked your package- it was fun shopping for you! Thanks again for my package. I fondle the "coffee" yarn daily, and am scouring my books and the net for a perfect pattern.

Wow! Your package was amazing. Love the yarn. Can't wait to see what becomes of the skeins as they emerge from balls to a project.

Wow! I hope that you're enjoying your coffee and yarn--I've never seen the Elisabeth Lavold cotton tape before--I can't wait to see what you make out of it.
