Which knitting books are best for different sts, cables, lace and all around general help?
you see my family asked me what I wanted/needed for my birthday ( next month), well I really don't need yarn, fiber or notions or anything like that... but what I would really like is a knitting encyclopedia??
I've looked online a bit and found a couple but you only get to look at a couple of pages...
so I guess my question for you is, is there a book you go back to over and over for sts /inspiration, etc??

I use the Barbara Walker series "A Treasury of Knitting Patterns, red book, blue, green and yellow, most often. I would start with the red one.
