1st of the Backroads socks are complete!!

I turned the (short row) toe this afternoon, and just finished grafting the stitches( 40 of them little buggers)....
it fits so well!!
I love it...
I'm casting on the next sock as soon as I post this, I'm going to look pretty silly wearing one sock around...
must get the second done VERY soon!!

I will be making a few changes for the second sock tho... for the first I used the short row heel from wendyknits... and altho it's very well written, I'm not to sure what happened... I have gaps?? in the heel... I'm thinking that I didn't pick up both of the wraps??

for the toe I used the EASY SOCKS pattern from ozyarns... no wrapping involved... and much easier for a beginner like me!!
the toe is a bit to square for my likings... I'm not sure how to fix that tho.. so I'll have it learn to live with it.. lol..unless you wonderful sock knitter bloggers have some helpful hints?? please comment if you know. Thanks:)

The sock looks great! What did you do with the toe part and the ribbing (decreasing and all)? I love the way the yarn made a sort of spiral effect when knitted! looks great!
