my mojo is back.. and in full force

The girls have been taking swimming lesson this past week and I had to sit there for 4 hours a day, so I cast on for a baby sock...scroll down on the left.... and by the end of the week I had 5 socks completed and another cuff done.

I also had started on the Multidirectional Diagonal Scarf with this yarn I made, BUT my gauge was to tight and I didn't have enough yarn for a full scarf.. bummer, so I threw the scarf in the fish pond with the frogs and they took care of ripping it apart... ( sorry no pic) lol
I might try it again using bigger needles.
I had a little chat with blogless Stacey ( who should make a blog...lol) yesterday at work about knitting and she showed me a couple stitches of continental knitting.. well I've always wanted to learn this, tried from some online photos and never "got" it, but seeing the movement and giving it another go at it this morning, I did half the other baby sock using this method... at the moment it's not faster, but I can see myself useing it more, I like that I don't have to drop my needle each time to wrap the needle.
The lace swap is now closed and everyone now is happily gathering their goodies to send to their partner, I did some gathering at work yesterday too, and am patiently waiting of the yarn and patterns I had bought online to send to my partner. Fingers crossed that they'll come this week.
till next time...
